Stopped in for a single slice and it didn't disappoint. Fresh, crispy, and served at the perfect temperature. The service is great too

I tried Slice of Pizza in the hope we could find a good pizza option here in Ventura County. I ordered an XL NY pizza with extra cheese and mushrooms. BTW, the slices are HUGE! The good - The pizza was ready at the specified time and the guys at the counter were pleasant despite it being busy. The Bad - When I got home, I noticed the pizza looked waaaay overcooked, aged and not all that appetizing. I also notice the pizza did not have extra cheese - which is a $4 upcharge. In fact, the amount of cheese on the pizza was barely passable. The mushrooms were absent on a slice or two, and pretty sparse given the cost. Really disappointing. The pizza had a (somewhat hidden) good taste to it and I could see why the owner won 13 pizza competitions - the missing factor is that he did not have inexperienced teenagers prepare, determine the portions and cook the pizza. It was difficult to enjoy the pizza, given the overall disproportionate amount of portions. I did call and the guys offer to refund me for the pizza. The guys at the counter were again, pleasant and eager to please. Still looking for a good pizza place! Slice of Pizza would benefit from following their motto of " Respect the craft", as in my experience, they did not.

Greeting was great. Service N/a because i just ordered and left, but the quick chat was pleasant. Pepperoni pizza traditional.sloce hit the spot have been thinking of pizza all week, didn't want the hassle or complexity of ordering from other pizza establishments. Price wise for a slice was expensive.. Of note searching for game day (i.e. world series game seven hang out and enjoy good t.v. setup with strangers.... try this place nice indoor and out door seating , great TV sizes..( Do yourself a favor if you are going to make it your must see game day spot, carpool (limited street parking) call the establishment and give them.a heads up.so they can adequately staff. Pack your patience, tip well, support small business !!!

Pretty good place with excellent Detroit style pizza and also thin crust. Not a lot of seating or parking but if you can get in there is enjoyable. A bit pricey.
