The Local Peasant in Woodland Hills is one of our favorite gathering places for meetings and community events. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is consistently excellent, and the team goes above and beyond to create a great experience. Most recently, they hosted our Sustainability Professionals Network, and every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making our guests feel welcome. The added touches and outstanding service did not go unnoticed. Whether you're meeting friends for lunch, enjoying happy hour, hosting a business gathering, or celebrating a special occasion, The Local Peasant delivers great food, great service, and a true sense of hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for being such a valued part of the Woodland Hills community. You are appreciated!

I met up with family at The Local Peasant for dinner during a World Cup match, and overall I’d call it a solid spot for drinks, sports, and hanging out—but not necessarily for the food. First, parking is rough. And by rough, I mean practically nonexistent. If valet is available, use it. If valet is full, good luck finding a spot nearby. The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside and has a great atmosphere for watching a game. The place was packed, but our server was outstanding. Given the crowd, especially during the World Cup match, the service was impressive and easily one of the highlights of the evening. The drink menu offers a large selection of beers and spirits. The cocktails were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. As for the food, it was mostly average. The pork belly tasted more like carnitas, which wasn’t necessarily bad, just not what I expected. The cheese balls received mixed reviews at our table. I thought they could have used a little more seasoning, but I was in the minority on that one. The crab cakes were small and, for me, lacked the most important ingredient—crab. Opinions were split at the table, but they didn’t work for me. The house chips had a nice texture, although the frying oil tasted like it may have been due for a change. The smash burger was decent but nothing special. The steak frites were okay; I believe it was hanger steak, so take that for what it’s worth. The shredded beef sliders were also just okay. Overall, I’d definitely return if I was in the area to watch a game and have a few drinks. The atmosphere and service make it worth a visit. However, if food is your primary reason for going, there are better options nearby.

The Local Peasant in Woodland Hills exceeded expectations in every way. Myla gave us excellent service. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was absolutely delicious. Our group enjoyed a variety of menu items, and every dish received rave reviews. The Tuna Ceviche was fresh and flavorful, the Hot Wings were delicious, and the Portobello Mushroom Burger was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The Crab Cakes were outstanding, the Fish and Chips were crispy and delicious, and several guests commented that they serve some of the best fries around. What stood out most was the quality of the food. Every dish tasted fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully crafted. It is not often that an entire group is talking about how much they enjoyed their meals, but that was certainly the case here. Whether you're stopping in for a meal with friends, a business lunch, or hosting an event, this is a place that consistently gets it right. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming to The Local Peasant for a long time, and it honestly doesn’t feel like the same place anymore. Ever since the two male bartenders left, the atmosphere has completely changed. They were a huge part of what made this place feel welcoming. They remembered regulars, kept the energy up, and made the bar somewhere you actually wanted to spend your evening. Now it feels cold and impersonal. The service isn’t what it used to be, and the bar has lost the personality that made it stand out from every other neighborhood spot. It’s disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite places. If I could give the atmosphere a negative rating, I would. That’s how much the vibe has changed. I really hope management realizes what made this place special, because right now it just isn’t the Local Peasant I used to love.

The pizza and drinks were incredible but they made all three of our steaks wrong unfortunately to where my sis didn’t even eat hers because she doesn’t like any pink on her steak. It was medium well instead of well done. Same for my brother but he still ate his. Mine was medium well when I asked for medium rare. The service overall was still great and the drinks were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was extremely friendly. We’ll definitely be back to try everything. Everything on the menu sounds delicious.
